Expert's comment : The texts of René Crevel's "feuilles éparses" contain most of the themes dear to the surrealists: freedom, love, women, death, fantastic and distant nature, the strange and, of course, dreams. Illustrations by the greatest artists of modern art immerse us in the poet's surrealist world, amplifying the emotions felt when reading the texts. They plunge us into Crevel's unconscious, intimate world, where we find a poetry, an unexpected universe that takes us far from reality.
